Mario Fernandes: Knee doesn't bother me at all
22.08.2013
PFC CSKA Brazilian defender Mario Fernandes, who has recently returned to Moscow after a rehabilitation period, told pfc-cska.com that he is determined to come back on the pitch as soon as possible.
- — Mario, how was the rehabilitation process?
- — Everything was good. Most of the time I was rehabilitating in Brazil. Then I spent two weeks in Germany to strengthen my knee. Now I'm back in Moscow, and I have just a little more work to do before joining the rest of the team.
- — How do you feel after returning to Russia?
- — Very good. The knee doesn't bother me at all, I have no discomfort or complains.
- — How closely did you follow the team while being absent?
- — Unfortunately, in Brazil it was difficult to follow PFC CSKA, because the TV doesn't show Russian matches very often. But most important games – the Cup final and the Super Cup – I watched from the beginning till the final whistle and was very happy for my team. Still, mainly I followed the Army Men through Internet.
- — When do you plan to play the first match after rehabilitation?
- — I hope to do so as soon as possible. But firstly I need to strengthen the hip and the knee, and I'll appear on the pitch only when doctors tell that I'm ready.
