— It was a very tough battle, as usual in the Cup. Unfortunately, the referee made a mistake in the episode with the conceded goal. For the second year in a row we have issues with refereeing in the Semifinals. The match could unfold the other way, if only the goal was disallowed.

— Did Kuban surprise you in any way?
— No. We are familiar with this team and were prepared to Kuban.

— PFC CSKA won both matches against Kuban in the league this season. Is it fair to say that you underestimated your opposition today?
— We played away in the Cup Semifinal, having serious struggles with the squad. Do you think it’s possible to underestimate Kuban in such conditions? I think in this case we wouldn’t rely on players who won more than a dozen trophies with our club.
