Shortly after signing for PFC CSKA, Roman Shirokov sat down with the official PFC CSKA website to discuss the transfer.
— I'm very happy to be back, because this is my home club where I was brought up! I'm not worried about short-term contract, if I will prove on the field that I'm good enough, I've got no doubts that it will be extended. The aim for the coming months is to help PFC CSKA to win the Russia Premier League. Also, don't forget about the Russian Cup.
