Igor Akinfeev: Whatever happens, PFC CSKA remains the best squad for me
18.08.2014
PFC CSKA captain and goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev spoke to the media after the match against Spartak.
- — It's always disappointing to lose the game, especially the derby. But it's only the beginning of the championship, we have no time to relax. We should admit that our game is not ideal, we have to train hard and become better. The defeat is not catastrophe, though it's unpleasant.
— What can you say about the episode with the penalty? Parshivlyuk says he felt the contact with you... - — Good for him. The referee awarded the penalty, and there is no sense to discuss it now.
— PFC CSKA had chances, but failed to score in the absence of Seydou Doumbia. Were there any alternatives to Ahmed Musa? - — It's a question for our head coach Leonid Slutskiy. Whatever happens, PFC CSKA remains the best squad for me. Although we have to work hard and get better, no qualms about that.
