Leonid Slutsky: The team is close to its optimal conditions
— We started the game poorly, in the second consecutive match we conceded first. Fortunately, we were able to optimize our efforts and to create many chances. Penalty and Rykov's sent off were key episodes of the match. Since the opposite side reduced to ten men, a win was just the matter of time.
— Your team conceded first in the match against Rostov, as well as today. Is there any consistency?
— These are two different situations. In the first half of the match against Rostov we played badly and deserved that conceded goal. Today the game started at high speed and we got caught up on the fast counter-attack. From the bench I thought that Fomin was offside, but I didn't watch the replay yet, so I wouldn't claim that. We weren't relaxed, first minutes of the game just didn't go our way.
— How would you estimate defenders' performance and the conversion rate in today's match?
— Both were not at the top level. Despite four scored goals, the conversion rate was rather low. Talking about the defense, Torpedo had some good scoring opportunities. It's just the start of the season, and it's no surprise that the team is not in the optimal conditions yet. But we are close.
— What did you feel when Vitinho scored?
— At that moment I thought that our work paid off. I'd like to congratulate him as well as Kirill Panchenko, they both scored their first goals for PFC CSKA today.
— How well Kirill Panchenko adapted in the squad already?
— He looked much better today. In fact, he made two assists and scored a goal, showed very high efficiency. Obviously, he still needs some time to adapt in such a team.
