Aleksey Berezutskiy: I do not care how the players call me, as long as they play football well

— What is your opinion about the match? Are there any ideas that you want to see in the team during the season?
— It is not just early to talk about it, it's very early to talk about it. The training camp was devoted exclusively to physical training. If we talk about the match, we do not focus on the opponents, it does not matter who we are playing with. We tried to play low block on purpose. Certainly, there are a lot of substitutions, hard physical work. There were tactical mistakes, and quite a lot, most of them in the first half. We corrected them during the half-time. Perhaps this was due to the fact that the guys are already preparing for the weekend, and the training camp is quite long.

— You pay special attention to advice on the field, Igor Akinfeev also speaks more than usual. How important is this for you?
— In fact, this is the main thing I tell them about. It is only their advice how the players themselves regulate the game. I do not shout from the bench — maybe I will shout in the season, I don't know. But I know one hundred percent that even two central defenders can't sometimes shout to each other, and no one hears the coach from the sideline. Therefore, I am silent on purpose, although I really want to correct the guys, and I still said a couple of phrases. But I want them to regulate the game themselves, because our coaching staff will not be able to enter the field in an official match. When you are tired — lower yourself or vice versa — all this should come from them. You can correct something during the half-time, but everything else is their time.

— The coaching staff used the "plus-minus" system in previous seasons…
— There is no such system now. I repeat, we spent time on physical readiness. There is another system: we choose among the players, so to speak, the MVP, the most valuable players of a training session or a match. For example, Ivan Oblyakov became the MVP of the opening friendly game, because he was the first to shout at the fifteenth minute: "Guys, let's hold the ball." Only for this (smiles). He won, however, without a majority in votes, because each representative of the coaching staff called different surnames. But since I voted for Vanya, he got the prize. By the way, our prize is simple: he will take the team to dinner and pay for it (smiles).

— Has the coaching staff been formed or will it be strengthened?
— You will find out everything. And there is an assumption that CSKA TV will find out about this before the others.

— You have worked with different coaches, they used different penalty systems. Do you have such a system now?
— The club has it, and we follow it. Surprisingly, there was not even a single incident at this training camp that could be punished with a serious fine. There were small shortcomings, violations, but I decided not to fine anyone, because I did not declare it to them. They will hear and learn the rules from the first day at the second training camp.

— You have played together with some of the current players. Then, when you joined the coaching staff, you asked to call yourself by your first name, without a patronymic. Are there any problems with subordination now?
— I have no problem with this. I do not care how they call me, as long as they play football well.
