Aleksey Berezutskiy: Not the best PFC CSKA game, but the second half was positive
31.07.2021
PFC CSKA head coach press conference after RPL second round match with Lokomotiv.
— Not the best PFC CSKA game, but the second half was quite positive, — said Berezutskiy. — We conceded two unnecessary goals — from the standard, which is often happened in football, and a completely unnecessary second one. We did not use any chances at the end, but this is football.
— Has Nikola Vlasic fully recovered from his injury?
— He missed a few days, but now he is fully ready to play.
— Dzagoev transformed the game. Why did not he come out from the first minutes?
— This is not a tactical decision. Everything depends solely on Alan, his health. Dzagoev's entering the field always transforms CSKA.
— How can you explain the changes in the starting line-up?
— They are partly forced. Zhora Shchennikov was injured, so Tiknizyan came out. Bistrovic looked great in the training process, at least he played good, and this is besides the fact that he scored a goal. But Kristijan is not fully ready physically — he has not played enough games yet. Bijol also had to be watched, and, in my opinion, he succeeded in the game.
— You made twice as many kicks as before after the substitutions. How can you explain the closed game for almost the entire match, sometimes with clearance?
— Maybe Lokomotiv played well, maybe we did not play completely correctly. Somewhere there was a lack of a constructive element, especially at the beginning of the attacks, but it appeared after substitutions.
