Aleksey Berezutskiy: There will not be a single indifferent player on the football pitch

— Aleksey Vladimirovich, it is quite unexpected for everyone that you are leading the team at this training camp, a lot of things are written. We would like to hear your comments.
— I would advise everyone to abstract from the information that is often written on the Internet. All this is too exaggerated. We are facing specific tasks at the training camp — to lay the physical foundation to try to avoid injuries. And the club's management first made some changes in the medical staff in the middle of the season for that. I think that the training camp will be great.

— How do you plan to prepare, given that there are no national team players? Do you follow the national team?
— Of course, we follow them. Mario got a nasty injury, but it seems that, as far as we know now, everything is not as bad as we first thought. Let's hope that Russia will perform great at the European Championship, and all our players will show the appropriate game. I've seen more than one national player in action, including newcomers. I would like to note how Diveev played the first match (we could not fully watch the game against Finland due to the flight and organizational issues). Mukhin maturely came out as a substitute in the first match, I really liked him.

— Does your vision of the game differ much from the football that PFC CSKA has shown in recent years?
— Of course, it is at least slightly different for any coach, including me. I would rather not jump to conclusions — after all, this is the first training camp, and it has just begun. Now we will work on the physical condition of the players, especially since that some of the players from our main squad are not here. There are two games at the first training camp, the task is rather to see the players in action. The main, tactical work will begin at the second training camp, when there will be whole team, and we will also lay the foundation for physical conditions.

— Will there be any events within the team, team building?
— There will definitely be team building, this is quite an important issue. But all of the events will be held in the room for theoretical classes (smiles), because covid restrictions still exist, and it is quite difficult to move around both in Moscow and in the whole world. Therefore, all team building events will be held at the hotel, but will be diverse and fun, but we do not plan many of them: there is not much time before the start of the championship.

— What can the fans expect in the upcoming season?
— First of all, to support our team. I can say for sure that we will not have a single indifferent player on the football field. We are going to prepare them, explain what PFC CSKA is, how it lives, how it plays. Lately — it's not a big deal, but it's happened — they've forgotten about it. We will try to improve our work in this direction and return to the positions where CSKA should be.
