Bruno Fuchs: I have always admired Cristiano Ronaldo
03.09.2020
The first interview of our newcomer, Brazilian defender Bruno Fuchs.
— I was immediately told what the club is like, what goals it sets and what it wants to achieve. And since I am a winner in spirit and always want to win, I liked it, so I am sure that I have made the right choice.
— When you heard that PFC CSKA was interested in you, what was your first thought?
— The first thing that came to my mind when I started thinking about Russia was, certainly, the cold. Then I started read about Moscow and contacted Mario, we have been talking for a long time about everything, and then we just had to wait. I was exited and inspired by the possible transfer. Thank God, everything worked out. Now I am standing in this red-blue T-shirt, look how it suits me. I am very happy.
— So it can be said that your transfer was arranged by Mario Fernandes?
— No doubt, he motivated me and encouraged me to this transfer. The fact that he has been in the team for 8 years speaks for itself. So we can say that his advice greatly contributed to my transfer.
— Did you set a goal at the beginning of your career to play in Europe like many Brazilians? Or did it happen spontaneously?
— Yes, I am not an exception, I also had a goal to go to Europe. But firstly, I wanted to become a professional, to sign a contract with Internacional, to become a starting XI player, and when it happened, I started looking abroad.
— All Brazilian players have an idol who inspired them to become a football player. Who did you look up to as a child?
— I have always admired Cristiano Ronaldo. He is a great player who has reached the heights due to his work. He is a real hard worker. As for my position, I will name Sergio Ramos, Tiago Silva and Maldini.
— A large number of Brazilians have played and are playing in Russia. Hulk and Vagner Love played here, even Tiago Silva started here, I heard you like him. And what Brazilians who played in Russia can you name?
— Vagner Love, Daniel Carvalho, Mario, Vitinho, Malcom, Douglas Santos, Murilo from Lokomotiv and many other guys.
— We know that you started with mini-football, then played in midfield. Tell our fans a little more about your football path.
— Yes, when I was 10 years old I played attacking midfielder in Internacional, then, at 14, I moved to defensive midfielder position, and when I was 16, my coach suggested that I start playing defense. It can be said that this is my position, where I discovered my potential and got into the national team.
— Yes, I already switched and forgot the red and white colors! I like the T-shirt I am wearing now, it is really nice. I already associate myself with red and blue colors. I am Red-Blue.
— We hope that guys in Internacional will not watch this interview.
— No, I just forgot the red and white colors here, because these are the colors of our rivals! All my life I will remember Internacional and will be grateful to it. I spent a huge part of my life there.
— You do not have any high-level goals yet. What is the reason for this? Do you rarely join the attack or did you want to start scoring exactly for PFC CSKA?
— Yes, you have noticed correctly, I saved my goals for such a big club as PFC CSKA and this is where I want to start scoring. We played there without fans, so there was no one to celebrate with! And here you can immediately join our fans and celebrate the goal in a united burst.
— In media everyone praises your excellent first pass, the beginning of attacks. And what playing qualities do you value in yourself? And which ones do you need to work on?
— Actually, I need to improve all directions, as I want to continue increasing my level in everything. I have developed a good pass since playing in midfield, but I also want to develop this quality more.
— You won a cyber tournament among football players in Brazil during the quarantine. Are you ready to take the joystick and win for PFC CSKA?
— You took me by surprise! I actually did win this tournament, and I did it twice. I am a two-time winner of the "Golden joystick", I like playing and I am ready to invite anyone to the match!
— In your Instagram there are only football and a little bit of family. Tell the Russian fans more about Bruno Fuchs. What is he like? What is his hobby? And how does he usually spend his free time?
— To be honest, I am a great prankster. I love constantly teasing someone! I would like to learn a few Russian words and prank someone! As for my lifestyle, I am a family man and I like to spend time at home. Before I left for Russia, my family had recorded a touching video for me, and I shed a few tears. I love spending time with my family.
— A question that will now upset or gladden Russian girls. Is Bruno Fuchs heart free?
— Let's leave this question open!
— Russia is a big country. What do you think is the farthest distance you can travel with PFC CSKA?
— I have already talked to our interpreter Maks on this topic and I know that there used to be 7- and 8-hour flights, but as I know now there are no such long flights anymore.
— Unless we have to fly 6500 km in the Russian Cup.
— Oh, that is a long way.
— Almost all PFC CSKA fans will watch this interview, what would you like to tell them?
— I am very happy to become a PFC CSKA player — the one who sets the highest goals. This meets my philosophy, and I will do my best to ensure that our team regains the first place.
