Chidera Ejuke: Musa asks me about PFC CSKA
18.10.2021
Interview with Chidi about the match with Ural, his goal, Musa and the support of the fans.
— Thank you. Indeed, it turned out to be a beautiful goal. But the ball just bounced off to me, I saw a corner and decided to shoot. Fortunately, I was lucky and scored.
— What can you say about the match?
— The game was very difficult. Such games happen during the season, nothing can be done with it. The opponent played very deep, we controlled the match, but we did not have big spaces. Therefore, I had to look for my moments and use them carefully. You need to get together and endure in such matches to take three points. It was hard at the end, but still we ended successfully.
— The fans are talking about your progress. Is this because you are used to Russian football?
— I came here last season and adapted for a long time, got to know my partners. Now I have played a lot of matches, and with each game we have a growing level of mutual understanding. I also try to work every day to grow and progress. And I manage to do it with the support of the coaches. I absorb all the information. This is the most important thing right now, and I feel that I can still develop, reach a new level.
— You played for the Nigeria national team in both matches during the International break. How important is this to you?
— There is no doubt that it is very important. In addition to developing at the club, it is important to be called up to the national team. This means that they recognize your level and need you. We played two matches: we lost one and won the second. I am doing my best to match the level of the national team.
— How is Ahmed Musa doing?
— He is doing well. We constantly communicate, he follows our matches and asks about PFC CSKA. He is currently playing in Turkey and is the captain of the national team. That's why he's doing well, too.
— Today the fans again saw off the team to the match near the hotel. Does that motivate you?
— Of course. Our fans support us a lot. They come to all away matches, we also feel this support at all home games and it's great. We see their energy and we play for them, we try to give all of ourselves to win every match, although it doesn't always work out. The season is long, we will try to make efforts to take the place that will give us opportunity to play in European tournaments.
