Chidera Ejuke: We absorb the coach's instructions and progress
13.04.2021
PFC CSKA midfielder about the match with Rotor, his goal and work with Ivica Olic.
— I didn't know that but thank you for telling me. Today is an important day that has its roots deep in the past, and I am very happy to celebrate it. I am very glad that Gagarin was a CSKA fan, and that we won today. I hope we will keep going like that to take our place in the table.
— You scored an amusing goal. Do you remember that episode?
— I wanted to shoot when I got a pass from Siga. There were no other options in my mind. I shot and scored. We created chances but we didn't shoot. So, my only thought was to try to score. This goal was very necessary, it gave us extra strength.
— Does this mean that you will now shoot more often?
— Sure. I had a few shots before that goal, too. It is necessary to improve in this aspect. I'll try my best.
— You were not that happy after the goal. Why?
— The fact is that I made a very long run before the goal, and I needed to catch my breath and recharge. But we still celebrated with the team: we hugged and congratulated each other.
— Have your tasks on the field changed in any way when the new coach came?
— Yes, Ivica Olic both collectively and individually talks to us and explains how he sees our game. And now we are absorbing his instructions and progressing. We are waiting for the next match to play better than the previous one, and to score as many points as possible at the end of the season.
