Egor Ushakov: I had a dream that I would come out today
04.04.2022
PFC CSKA midfielder about the match with Ural and his debut.
— Before the game I had a dream that I would come out. That's why I expected it (smiles). I was ready, I saw that Igor Diveev was leaving the field, I immediately changed my clothes. It took a little bit of time to get into the game, and that's it. I never worry, I just do my job and enjoy it.
— You got a split lip, a skinned knee. Traumatic debut...
— An awesome debut, the best one (smiles). It was necessary to score a goal, so I did everything I could with all my strength and hopes.
— What did the coach say before you came out as a substitute?
— Be calm, play in attack, do more passes to the penalty area.
— There was an episode with your participation in our penalty area at the end. Was there a foul?
— There was no foul, but I still prayed to God, because now there is VAR, any touch can be a penalty now. Thank God it happened that way.
— The referee added five minutes, but they, in fact, were not played…
— We discussed it on the field, shouted at the referee, asked for it, because it's strange: there are five minutes left, we watch VAR all these five minutes, but there is no time left for the game. Maybe we would all go to the penalty area and score another goal.
— You missed a whole year due to injury. How are you feeling?
— Amazing, best of all. Thanks to Eduard Bezuglov and Igor Stepanov, who put me back on my feet. I think they are top specialists in their profession.
