— It happened at this time, because Ivica arrived, if I am not mistaken, only on the evening of June 15. We discussed some issues, looked at them and realized that in some ways we, so to say, disagree. So we decided to change the coach after all.

— He said that there were different opinions about the coaching of the team, is that right?
— In my subjective opinion yes.

— Aleksey Berezutskiy was appointed team's acting head coach. Why him? Have any other candidates been considered?
— We have not considered other candidates. Aleksey was considered before, but we decided to try Ivica first. It did not work out. That is why Aleksey is the team's coach today.

— We already have two transfers, Zabolotny and Mukhin. Will the team change much in the off-season?
— I do not think so. We have put together a good squad, young guys. I do not think there will be any more transfers.

— Our fans are also worried about something else: It is often written in media that there is some contradiction between the chairman of the board of directors and the management of the club. Is it true?
— This is complete nonsense. I already told you: I managed, and I continue to manage the team. The fact that we now have partners and a board of directors, I think, is very good. I have said this before. Maksim Stanislavovich Oreshkin does not deal with transfers, the squad, or the appointment of coaches, but helps a lot with sponsors, with financing of teams. Now we stand on our two feet, and our VEB partners also help us a lot. Therefore, they do not deal with the sports part. You know, it can be interpreted in any way, but if we say that the board of directors approves some decisions today, it is not so.

— You recently said at one of the meetings that we have no other goal than to be champions. Do we believe in the team?
— Our priorities have never changed, and we will strive for the championship. In the twenty years I have been here, this is the first time we have, let's say, failed the championship. It is football, anything can happen. We believe in the team and move on. We believe in our fans, in our united family.
