Igor Diveev: 'Rabona' goal? I did not want to shoot with the left foot, the ball would not have been found later
Our team held two training sessions today at the Spanish training camp, a game and a functional one. Right after this defender Igor Diveev gave an interview to pfc-cska.com.
— How is training camp, Igor? — a question for Diveev.
— Great (smiles). Trainings are interesting, we work out, run, play football. Nothing much has changed since last year.
— We will not go into the training aspects, tell me better, do you personally prefer physical training last year or this year?
— Now we play more tactics and practice with ball, and the running exercises are the same. I liked working with Paulino, and I like working with Ryland, too.
— Are you used to quarantine restrictions?
— Yes, there are no problems. Although it is unusual that you go to the dining room in a mask and cannot take it off, otherwise they can apply sanctions. But in general, everything is the same, Groundhog Day (smiles).
— How do you feel about the same hill on the way from the building to the restaurant?
— It is fine, we are already used to it. We know that there is food there, so our feet take us by themselves (smiles). Physical activity is a bit heavy, but this is the point of the training camp: to prepare for the championship as best as possible and become more aggressive in order to win more often.
— Our social media was burst by your "rabona". What was that?!
— I did it accidently. I just did not want to shoot the ball with my left foot, the ball would not have been found later (laughs). It would have been somewhere far beyond the field. And so I shot and shot the top corner.
— Maybe only if I learned all these tricks — 'elastico', 'rabona', when I was a kid. It happened spontaneously. Do I want to try this in the official game? No, a technical defender is the enemy for the team. It will not happen again (laughs). I am kidding, but really, the most important thing is to play safer and simpler in defense.
