Salomon Rondon: I am fully prepared
— It was a hard match, in fact, a difficult opponent. It was difficult to play tactically, they closed all the zones, and it was difficult to find chances. But we were lucky, we were still able to find our chances, zones and scored goals. Congratulations to the whole team, guys worked very well.
— When the referee gave a penalty, Akhmetov and Vlasic wanted to shoot, but you took the ball. Was it a spontaneous decision?
— No, this decision was made before the match. I took the ball and thanks to the support of my teammates, I came up and shot. I was absolutely confident. I am very happy that I can help my team and partners with my actions.
— Were you a full-time penalty taker at other clubs?
— Yes, I have taken penalties in former teams. Not so much, but I shot four or five penalties. It helps a lot, in fact, because it gives you and the whole team confidence.
— When will you be ready for 90 minutes?
— Only the coach will decide how long I need to play. But the fact that we train every day helps me and improves my physical form. And when you play, the game rhythm, the team rhythm comes to you. I feel better now. You can even say that I am fully prepared.
— Where have you been in Moscow already?
— I have not fully explored Moscow yet and seen all its sights. I do my own stuff and go to trainings for now. I am also waiting for my family to arrive, and we will be able to go on guided tours. Moscow is a wonderful city, so I am waiting for my family to explore the capital of Russia.
