Vadim Konyukhov: I try not to get lost in an adult team
29.06.2021
Defender Vadim Konyukhov, for whom this Austrian training camp was the first with the main team, shared with pfc-cska.com his impressions from work.
— Vadim, the debut training camp with the first team is over, congratulations! Was it hard?
— Thank you very much. In general, everything is fine, I feel that I have more or less handled the activities. I will try to progress further.
— Have you noticed any positive dynamics in physics during these twelve days?
— Of course. And the physical training here differs from those that was given in the youth team. Running was more difficult here.
— How do you like working with Aleksey Vladimirovich?
— I constantly learn something new from theories. There are common moments that are the same in the youth team, the base — how to defend properly, to change position. And there are very important new details that I try to learn as much as possible. Aleksey Vladimirovich is a good coach, I really like him.
— You didn't just take part in two friendly matches, but…
— ... yes, I was in the starting lineup! Maybe it says something, I don't know (smiles). But I am very happy that Aleksey Vladimirovich trusts me, gives me time to prove myself. The opponents' level is not so high yet: one team is from the third division of Austria, the other is from the second. The next games will be more difficult.
— Is there a distance between young guys and more experienced players now?
— No, I don't notice it. We all communicate well. In the first days we stayed together, slowly joined the team, but the atmosphere in the team is great, and that was quite easy to do it.
— I see that your nickname Kon' (Russian for male horse, that’s how fans call CSKA players) has taken root quite quickly.
— Yes, I have been called that since my early childhood.
— Do you like it?
— Of course. I am a Kon’ (smiles).
