Viktar Hancharenka left PFC CSKA

Head coach and the Army club parted ways by mutual agreement.
Viktor Hancharenka was appointed PFC CSKA head coach in December 2016. During his spell Red-Blues won 82 games out of 167, clinched Russian Super Cup, twice finished runners-up in Russian League and advanced to UEFA Europa League Quarterfinals in 2018. In the same year PFC CSKA twice beat Real Madrid in UEFA Champions League Group Stage.

— It was an honor for me to work in such a great club as PFC CSKA. It was a very interesting and best period in my coaching career at the moment. We have had both spectacular victories and disappointing defeats in just a little more than four years. But there was never any indifference in the team, the players fought for the red and blue colors. Maybe I was too emotional at times, but only because I lived for the Army Men club. This magnificent period will always remain in my heart.

I would like to express my gratitude to the management, the entire coaching and administrative staff, the club staff, and the players.

I would also like to express a special thanks to our fans, who always support the team from the first to the last minute. I remember a figure as tall as I am and the banners with quotes on the fan stand, when I was disqualified for several matches, I appreciated that. CSKA will always be the first!
