Viktor Hancharenka: Chalov, despite criticism, remains the best striker for me

— We assess the result, this is the most important thing in football. When a team takes so many shots on target, then there must be a goal, so this is a question of finishing on goal. Maybe you need to become available better, maybe there is a question of confidence. When there are no shots on target and no approaches, this is a problem for the team, but when there are a lot of shots on target, it is a question of finishing, scoring.

— How do you assess the Chalov's game? Has everything that has been going on lately affected him?
— We are working with Chalov, trying to help him to become more available for the episodes. He works with the ball with his back to the goal. We need him to move to it in a different way. And he did it couple of times today. As for his condition, any football player should be angry, not offended. Fedya for me, despite the criticism, was and remains the best striker. He is our son, whom we must protect.

— What can you say about the game of the players who came out as substitutes?
— There are some objective factors. For example, today it is the absences of Mario, Dzagoev and Kuchaev and we had to substitute them by the players who have less game practice, and this affects. Not everyone can come out for 15-20 minutes and decide the outcome of matches. Yes, these players are constantly training and have a very good attitude, but they do not have the game temp. Those players who entered during the game were lost in terms of adjusting to the teammates, in terms of making the right decisions, I agree here.

— Why did not the crosses on Gaich and Shkurin work?
— Bistrovic and Bakha played today not in their natural positions. They do not have such skills as wing crosses. Therefore, there was no sharpness that I would like to see. So, the quality of the attackers sometimes were not as good as we expected.
