Viktor Hancharenka: The energy of Campoamor is still the same

— Viktor Mikhailovich, do you feel that this Campoamor differs from all the previous ones, and how do you assess the starting period of training?
— Campoamor itself is still the same — cool weather, excellent conditions for training, nutrition, good energy. We have a slightly different work now — we really have it, we are trying to establish the process in a new way, to change something. Let's see how it turns out. The first week was well enough, so there is optimism.

— Has the physical activity become a little easier compared to previous years? I asked Fedya Chalov about this yesterday, he was categorical: "No, not at all"…
— It really has not. Maybe, visually we began to work less, because the number of training sessions decreased. But in fact, exercise is very heavy, especially on the muscles, and trainings require constant concentration and a lot of strength, because they are intense. We monitor guys’ condition, see the response. There is no feeling that it has become easier for them. We do not want to overload them, as we used to — let's exhaust them and then see what happens — or underload them. We work how we decided.

— Who is currently leading in the "plus-minus" system? And what changes have competitions undergone?
— We have included technical and tactical indicators this year: goal + pass, tackle, and other criteria to make it interesting for both defenders and attacking players. Training matches also count — for example, if one team scored six goals and delivered six assists in a half, it all goes to particular players. Without adding statistical indicators (they will be taken into account later), Vadim Karpov is now leading.

— How do young guys prove themselves?
— I like to call up one, two or even more young players to training camps. It is always energy, a great desire, playing in any position, performing any role. Yakovlev, Avanesyan, and other guys work with good dedication and that is how it should be.

— Can there be problems with sparring in the current difficult situation?
— We may have to move one day and find another game in the schedule that we have planned now. In general, we do not see any problems with training matches yet.
