Vladislav Yakovlev: Diveev and Ejuke surprised me the most at the training camp

There is another birthday boy in Campoamor — Vladislav Yakovlev.

Our current hero of the day has never given a detailed interview in his career by his own admission, and this is a great occasion to introduce him to the Red-Blue fans.

«THE MAIN TEAM HAS ALMOST TWICE AS MUCH WEIGHT IN THE GYM»

— Congratulations, Vladislav! How is your day going?
— Thank you very much! Everything is fine, I received a lot of birthday wishes from my friends, the coaching staff, and the guys from the team. I do not use Instagram, I do not post photos there, but still there are a lot of congratulations and wishes on all my social media profiles.

— What did Viktor Mikhailovich say?
— I will not say it word for word. (laughs). The usual birthday wishes, but I am very pleased, thanks a lot. All my thoughts were only about training immediately after that, as on any other day.

— This is your first training camp with the first team. I know for sure that young guys have the same sign from year to year: if you hold out at the training camp until the end — it is already very good.
— (Smiles) It is nice to work at this level. The youth team is also good, but you always want to grow. I like everything very much. Physical activity is much stronger, even in the gym, the weight is almost twice as much. I learn a lot of new things, gain experience. I am constantly looking for some new moments that would be worth paying attention to.

— Who of your senior teammates surprised you? Vlasic?
— Sure, Nikola could not help but surprise — on the other hand, we all watch the games, I see how he play, how high his level is. And I have already trained with the main team before. Divey surprised me the most during this training camp - in terms of fighting. I did not expect this from him. I am very impressed. And I will also mention Chidi, he beats always almost everyone here at every training session. I do not know how he does it, it was different before this training camp in Campoamor. But he is good now.

— You also have something to boast about: with La Union you scored 1+2 on the goal + pass system if I am not mistaken…
— Yes, and won a penalty. In fact, I did not do anything special. Of course, I wanted to show myself. I came out on the field, guys cheered me up. No one scolded, everyone advised (smiles). Thanks to Fedya, he gave a good pass, I scored. An assist to Tiki turned out after Kuchai gave me an excellent pass, in another moment Tigr brought me almost one-on-one, I only had to get the ball to Ilya.

— You also have a winning assist in a bounce game when the score was 2-2.
— Both teams wanted to win that match. It was great that I managed to give an assist, and we scored the decisive goal. It was a friendly match, but I think for many people it was fundamental (smiles). Everyone fought for the plus points on the plus-minus system.

— If you take not the training process itself, but what happens before and after — nutrition, recovery — what did you pay attention to?
— In terms of nutrition, there are no unhealthy products here initially — we are given only what we can eat. I learned more useful things in terms of preparing for trainings — guys come an hour before the start, warm up, do exercises that are on the flipchart. Everyone stretches, doing something extra exercises after the training session. This helps to treat your body properly, which is under stress, to exclude micro-injuries.

«LEWANDOWSKI, HAALAND, LUKAKU ARE THE BEST IN THE WORLD»

— Tell us how you started playing football.
— I have been in PFC CSKA academy since I was six years old, from the first enrollment. Roman Khristich took me, then his father, Mikhail Vasilyevich, trained us for a year. He is a cool man, it was very nice to work with him. Then Dmitry Mitrofanov was our coach, I trained with him for four or five years. After him was Alexander Bauman, then Anatoly Dutov. I think he has worked with us the longest. And also Maxim Mishatkin and Dmitry Igdisamov both trained us for a year. I am grateful to all my coaches. The older I got, the more consciously I tried to learn from them.

— You are now the leader in goals scored in the championship in the youth team (9). How did you manage to improve so much over the past year?
— I do not know, I worked hard, like the rest of the guys. Maybe there was just a period when I did a lot of things, and the coaches noticed it. I set myself the goal to get a foothold in the main team, to continue working with it. And make my debut for the first team in official matches, try to distinguish myself with effective actions — to score or assist.

— Who do you focus on in your game?
— I will not even talk about Cristiano Ronaldo — a machine! Robert Lewandowski has done something incredible in recent years, scoring in almost every match, sometimes three, five. The standard of the center forward. I like to play in the center of the attack myself. I will also name Haalland and Lukaku, I think three of them are the best in the world in their roles.

— Do you know who is the most famous Armenian who wore the 46th number in PFC CSKA?
— Of course! Alan Dzagoev. Team administrator gave the 46th number to me at the time, I did not choose it. And then our coach, Andrey Aksenov, told me that Alan started with it. I do not really remember it myself: I was six years old (smiles). But, of course, I am glad that Dzaga used to have this number.

— Danila Bokov, the previous hero of our introductory interview, quoted the legendary phrase: «Once an Army Man — always an Army Man». Do you feel like a real Red-Blue?
— Of course! And how can it be otherwise, if you play for the team from the age of six? PFC CSKA is the only club in my life, my home club. I have been here for thirteen years, and I have not played or even trained anywhere else. I think it is great when you have one team in your life. I hope that I will be able to grow and progress here further.
