Vladislav Yakovlev: It's always great to play in front of the fans
27.03.2022
PFC CSKA striker about the friendly match with Nizhny Novgorod, his two goals and advice from the coach.
— Of course, it's nice to score, a good friendly match with a good opponent. We got game practice, and we are generally satisfied.
— Did the weather scare you in the morning?
— When you play, you don't pay attention, unless it's hail, rain or snow. The weather is really good though — the pitch is wet, the ball is moving fast.
— The line-up was experimental, some guys made their debuts. Did you cheer them on as a more experienced?
— I just said not to be nervous, that's all. Excitement before the first game for the main team is normal. In general, the guys played, in my opinion, quite well.
— What was the tactics for the match?
— We were just told to try to control the ball, not to hit forward. It didn't always work out, but the guys tried.
— There were a lot of fans. Did you feel it?
— Yes, of course. It's always great to play in front of the fans. It's noise, it's people. I just remembered my first friendly match for the main team — it was on this field, with SKA Khabarovsk. Then we also won — 5-0.
